Vulnerability Scanning & Monitoring

Understand where your systems are exposed and what to fix next. L8DT combines security scanning, review of new vulnerabilities and practical follow-through so findings lead to action.

The challenge

Turn a list of weaknesses into work that gets done.

A scan report can be long, technical and out of date before the next review. Your team needs to know which findings affect important services, who will address them and whether the fix worked.

What we do

Security scanning

Check agreed websites, internet-facing services, internal systems and supported devices for known vulnerabilities and security configuration weaknesses. Use authenticated checks where suitable to see beyond the public view.

Continuous vulnerability monitoring

Keep watch for new vulnerabilities and changes affecting the systems in scope. Combine scheduled scans with supported ongoing checks and targeted rescans after important changes. Flag missed scans, unavailable systems and other gaps in coverage.

Priorities your team can use

Review findings in the context of exposure, signs of active exploitation, business importance and available fixes. Separate confirmed issues from findings that need more investigation.

Remediation and retesting

Give each issue an owner and next action. Coordinate approved patching or configuration work, retest affected systems and keep a clear record of resolved issues and accepted exceptions.

What you receive

  • An agreed list of systems, scan methods and monitoring coverage
  • Reviewed findings with supporting evidence and practical priorities
  • An action list with owners, target dates and tracked exceptions
  • Alerts for urgent findings and gaps in monitoring, routed to the agreed contacts
  • Retest results and a regular progress report showing new, open, overdue and resolved issues

A service that fits your operations

We agree the systems, access, scan windows, check frequency, alert routing and response hours before work starts. Continuous monitoring combines recurring scans and supported ongoing checks; scan frequency and human response coverage are specified in your service plan.

Our service plan also sets out who approves changes, protects scan access and handles fixes. Any additional testing, incident response or staffed monitoring coverage is defined in your service plan.

Example use case

Keep new vulnerabilities from becoming a growing backlog

A growing business relies on a customer website, a remote-access service and a small server estate. Patch reports and scan results arrive from different tools, and the IT lead needs a reliable way to decide what deserves attention first.

How L8DT helps

  • Agree which systems to check and establish a baseline within approved scan windows, with safeguards to limit disruption.
  • Monitor for relevant new vulnerabilities and changes, then review findings against the services the business depends on.
  • Route urgent issues to the right person and plan other fixes around approved maintenance windows.
  • Retest completed work, track exceptions and review overdue actions and missing coverage.

What this gives your team

The team has a current view of what needs attention, a responsible owner for each action and evidence that completed fixes addressed the reported issue.

How we check it

Check that an agreed test finding reaches the right contact, a sampled fix passes its retest and a missed scan is visible. A finding closes after verification; an unavailable system remains a coverage gap.

This example illustrates how the service can work. Your service plan defines the actual systems, responsibilities and schedule.
