Deployment story
Critical connectivity in a field-ready case
Keep field teams connected with protected equipment, cellular networking and battery power designed for the job.
← All stories and scenariosThe challenge
Build around the work.
Field teams need useful connectivity where utility power, weather protection and a permanent equipment room cannot be assumed. The design brings the network, protective enclosure and power system together as one deployable kit.
How the solution fits together
Pelican enclosure + rugged Cradlepoint router + antennas + protected battery, charging and power distribution
Products and software
- Pelican protective cases ↗
- Provide a transport and integration enclosure sized for the equipment, mounting and service access. The finished assembly is evaluated for its actual operating conditions.
- Ericsson Cradlepoint ruggedized routers ↗
- Provide cellular networking and remote management in a platform selected for the required operating environment.
- Ericsson NetCloud ↗
- Support remote configuration, troubleshooting and connection visibility while the kit is deployed.
- Purpose-built battery and DC power system
- Match usable energy, charging, protection, conversion and distribution to the equipment load and required mission duration.
What we do
- Define the operating duration, equipment load, environment and available charging sources.
- Integrate the enclosure, mounts, connectors, antennas and protected power system with a serviceable layout.
- Prepare labeled connections, operating instructions, spares and remote monitoring for the people who will use the kit.
Why it matters
Give field teams a repeatable way to bring critical connectivity to the work, with power sized around the job and a setup they can deploy and support.

How we verify it
Measure runtime under representative peak and sustained loads. Check charging, low-voltage behavior, thermal performance and recovery. Evaluate the completed enclosure and cabling; the case's original protection rating alone does not establish the modified kit's rating.
